COMMENT: It would appear that the mixed flock situation here now is pretty much what it has always been. The Allogregarious behavior of the species here seems to be quite stable. (This [[underlined]] may [[/underlined]] contrast wth the inter-specific reactions of various Diglossini, which [[underlined]] may [[/underlined]] be quite variable.)

August 23, 1965
Agua Bonita

Going to work the same place as on August 20th. Arrive 5:23 am. Still dark. Partly cloudy.

[[margin, in red]] Albi? [[/margin]]

Quite a lot of bird sounds by road 5:35 am. Including both Albi-type R's and [[underlined]] Basileuterus [[/underlined]] - type r-Flourishes. These two types of vocalizations are [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] overlapping. R-Flourish usually comes [[underlined]] [[margin, in red]] Albi? [[/margin]] immediately [[/underlined]] after Albi-type R. Sounds very much as if the [underlined]] Basileuterus [[/underlined]]-type is "answering" the "Albi-type"!!!

White-spectacled Whitestarts also Singing quite frequently. [[underlined]] Apparently [[margin, in red]] Albi? [[/margin]]
overlapping both Basileuterus R-Flourishes and Albi-type R's quite at random. [[/underlined]]

Then, 5:41, hear long series [[underlined]] Atlapetes torquatus [[/underlined]]-type Whistles Overlapping [[underlined]] all [[/underlined]] other types of vocalizations!

5:50 Hear what [[underlined]] may [[/underlined]] be Slate-throat Song. Overlapped, at least occasionally, by White-spectacled Song!!! [[in red]] [[downward-pointing arrow]] see below [[/in red]]
