start singing about 50 yds away. But this White spectacled certainly was there [[underlined]] before [[/underlined]] flock appeared. Flock is going in its direction. But I can't tell if they join or not.

8:50. Same area. Small group 3 birds appears. [[underlined]] Apparently [[/underlined]] 3 of the "[[underlined]] luteoviridis [[/underlined]]" -types which were with flock earlier. But now they [[underlined]] certainly are alone. [[/underlined]]

9:15 am. 7925 ft. Region of high mixed scrub. See single PR Atlapetes. Silent and definitely alone. 2 - 3 ft up.

9:25 am. 8000ft. Come across what seems to be another small mixed flock. See 2 Little Striped Flycatchers in scrub. 8 - 12 ft up. Utter occasional R's, but not many. Then get bad view of 2 - 4 other birds up in trees 25 - 35 ft away. The only one I an identify is a single White-spectacled. 15 - 25 ft up. Silent. Also can hear presumed Cy singing (NODWA) occasionally in neighborhood.

This flock seems to be both quiet and diffuse. [[underlined]] In fact, almost all flocks in this region seem to be quiet and/or diffuse [[/underlined]] !!!

9:36 am. Same area. Hear what sounds like both "[[underlined]] luteoviridis [[/underlined"-types and [[underlined]] nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] in scrub where Little Striped Flycatchers were earlier. Then hear more presumed Cy song. [[underlined]] Without [[/underlined]] intro notes. NODWA. Everything else seems to have gone.

Starting downhill 9:42 am.

10:01. 7780 ft. See single White throat feeding clusters large red tubular flowers. [[underlined]] Not [[/underlined]] using Diglossa holes. Silent. Can also hear other birds (Whitebeards? [[underlined]] nigrocristatus [[/underlined]]?) in nearby scrub, but can't see them.

10:14 Down by road. Hear more Albi-type R's. NODWA
