[[margin,in red]] Cy [[/margin]]
Then hear a whole series typical Cy songs. NODWA

Fog getting very thick 7:30 am.

See group of at least [[underlined]] 5 [[/underlined]] Sooty Thrushes in burnt scrub. Alone. [[underlined]] It looks as if the Sooty thrushes here vary from "monospecific" flocks in fog. [[/underlined]] (Did I see them form flocks in bad weather a couple of months ago?)
[[margin,in red]] Laf Coer Cy Hummer [[/margin]]
More Laf song in distance. NODWA. 7:35. Laf shuts up. Then I hear Coer songs in distance. NODWA. Coer shuts up. Then I hear Cy songs nearby. NODWA. Cy shuts up. Then I hear Hummer songs. NODWA. Hummer shuts up. [[underlined]] This really is too good to be true [[/underlined]] !!!
[[margin,in red]] Humer 23 [[/margin]]
Then see 2 [[two check marks]] [[two red check marks]] Hummers moving thru scrub fairly close together. Some R's. No Zaza's.
[[margin,in red]] 24 [[/margin]]
See single Firebelly alone.
[[margin,in red]] 26 [[/margin]]
Then see a couple of Lafs alone. Silent. Feeding red tubular flowers.
[[margin,in red]] Laf Humer [[/margin]]
[[underlined]] Both [[/underlined]] Lafs and Hummers seem to feed on this species of flower [[underlined]] very [[/underlined]] frequently.
[[margin,in red]] Cy Coer 27 [[/margin]]
Then see single Cy [[check mark]] [[red check mark]]. Silent and alone. Picking insects off leaves of the tree, [[underlined]] the same species favored by Coers [[/underlined]]!

Competition here must be intense!!!
[[margin,in red]] Cy Humer Laf [[/margin]]
Then some more Cy and Hummer Songs. [[underlined]] Not [[/underlined]] overlapping. Both shut up. Then there is more Laf song. NODWA. Laf shuts up.

7:58 a.m. God! There seem to be lots and [[underlined]] lots [[/underlined]] of Sooty Thrushes around
every where!!! All alone.
[[margin,in red]] Cy 28 30 [[/margin]]
See another single [[check mark]] [[red check mark]] Cy. Silent. 10 ft up in bush. Region of partly burnt scrub. I also can hear [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] [[two check marks]] [[two red check marks]] Rattles & Flourishes in low new growth about 20 ft away. Cy flies away. The warblers do [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] follow.
It really is quite remarkable that there doesn't seem to be a single Whitestart in this area!
