Almost 50 ft away, I also see one VB Hummingbird. ^[[female symbol]] or juv ^[[male symbol]]
[[margin, red]] VB [[/margin]] (Breast whitish, but an appreciable amount of violet on back). Feeding clusters small white flowers. Silent. Apparently not reacting to other birds.

[[margin, red]] Humer [[/margin]] at the time. Then hear some Humer R's. Completely overlapped by Scan "chuk" song. Then I hear R-Twitter. [[underlined]] Also [[/underlined]] completely overlapped.

4:02. A few yards further on. See single Synallaxis. Probably [[underlined]] subpudica [[/underlined]]. Quiet. 3 ft up in second growth scrub. Apparently alone.

There certainly doesn't seem to be any great "concentration" of mixed flocks in the afternoon here!
