4:48 pm. Down by road. See a couple [[two blue check marks]] [[two check marks]] [[insert, circled,in blue]] 84 [[/insert]] of Firebellies (again). (Again apparently alone.

NOTE: One might [[underlined]] expect [[/underlined]] mixed flocks to be most common during period more or less immediately after young have left nest. But this certainly does not seem to be the case here!

Agua Bonita

Going to work in the usual places here. Arrive 5:24 am. Still quite dark. Partly cloudy. Looks as if it might rain.

Some bird sounds ([[underlined]] Atlapetes torquatus [[/underlined]] Whistles?) 5:31. Then a variety of bird sounds.

[[margin, in red]] Albi? [[/margin]]

First Albi-type R's 5:40 am. NODWA. Quite a lot of R's in rapid succession. I rather imagine that the Albis here are in [[underlined]] breeding condition [[/underlined]]. [[margin, in red]] Albi [[/margin]] Then a lot of White-spectacled Songs. [[underlined]] Completely overlapping the Albi-type R's [[/underlined]] Then both species shut up. Then I hear some Slate-throat-type Songs (Probably real Slate-throats.) NODWA. [[margin, in red]] Albi? [[/margin]] Then some more Albi-type R's. [[underlined]] Probably [[/underlined]] partly overlapping Slate-throats. (But the individuals of the two species are far apart). Then Slate-throats shut up.

[[margin, in red]] Albi? [[/margin]]

Albis continue quite frequently. Occasional White-spectacled Songs, completely overlapping Albis.

Also a variety of [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] and [[underlined]] luteoviridis [[/underlined]]-type sounds Apparently [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] overlapping one another But probably overlapping everything else at random.

5:58 See a single thrush. Silent and alone. Apparently Sooty 20 ft up top tall second growth tangle.
