No one was sick - Exercised daily - played Ball & other games when active exercise was called forth. Lived there till Sept 4th.

Said Capt. Tyson, in answer if white man can endure the climate of the Esquimaux, "White man can freeze an Esquimaux right straight up".!  This he proved to be no erroneous statement. - He said "Capt. Quayles was a great favorite of the Natives as he was [[strikethrough]] il [[/strikethrough]] always kind & decisive in his action toward them.  Was equally as good in the management of Dogs as the Esq. themselves!
Capt. [[strikethrough]] Qua [[/strikethrough]] Tyson has travelled 360 miles in 10 days with dogs drawing himself, a Native & considerable freight - the last day travelled 70 [[strikethrough]] Days [[/strikethrough]] miles.
