As I stood by the grave, the setting sun was crimsoning the whole Heavens picturing to my mind; After death glory - to those who deserve it.
The snow bird - the return walk - the plain - the clay levels(?)
The calls at the tents - Now ten Summer tents & 50 Esquimaux where, on our arrival, not one within scores of miles!
The Esquimaux boat load; Ku-je-s-se & his 2 men bringing me aboard - the 3 tobacco plugs - Mgan making his nuliana sew,-sew,- sew,- on sail rigging - All retired!
We [[insertion]] have [[/insertion]] ascertained [[strikethrough]] that [[/strikethrough]] the Esquimaux whom we brought over to Neu-gum-mi-uke from where we took them on board yesterday, was on Hall's Isthmus, the same day we visited it. Thus is accounted the human tracks which Capt. B. & I discovered. It will be recollected that Mgan, the traveller & pilot, decided said tracks to be those of Rein-deer!
Mgan, his nuliana, Kun-ni-u, were the pilots of the Rescue to & up the Bay we left yesterday. Just as they described the situation of Bay & land [[insertion]] ere starting [[/insertion]] [[underlined]] so we found it. [[/underlined]]
