his supply or the officers & men of the G.H. will be in as bad fix as can be well imagined.

VIII o'clock Evening
In Ebierbing's Igloo
North Star village

Here I am for the [[underlined]] first [[/underlined]] time writing my Journal in an Igloo - Snow House - of the North! At the [[underlined]] present moment [[/underlined]] Tuk-oo-li-too is dealing out "Cincinnati" as represented in a soup made from her (Cincinnati) "Cracklings. She asks if I have time to eat some? There are present
Ebierbing & Tuk-oo-li-too
Koo-ar-loo-arng who is Aunt to Ebierbing
A-shay-loong son of Kok-er-loo-rarn who was brother of AlloKEE now deceased.

The latter (A-shay-loong] arrived to-day from Frobisher Bay the point occupied by Ar-noo-arny. He is a young man, probably 18 years of age. He was accompanied by E-u-ar-ping (son of Ar-noo-arny) also a young man. They return to-morrow. Being particular friends of Ebierbing & Tuk-oo-li-too, they remain with them to-night.

Having feasted on this excellent compound, Tuk-oo-li-too takes a cup full to sick Nukerton

This North Star village is in ecstasy to-night. Two seals have been

secured here, therefore gatherings at the 2 Igloos of the successful sealers. The Igloo adjoining the one in which I am writing this is crowded with the invited & uninvited Innuits all participating in defunct seal. Tuk-oo-li-too comming in & signifying that believe she was sick - the remedy - Bread - from eating raw Seal.
Three Seals were secured at the upper village to-day. One yesterday. An Ook-juke of the largest size Seal was harpooned to-day by Koo-shoo-ga of the upper village but to the regret & loss of all it escaped.

On Board "George Henry" again - I arrived back IX. During the eve called at Chimerarchu's (Johnny Bull's) saw sick Nuk-er-ton who had just eaten the soup Tuk-oo-li-too had given her. She liked it much. Thus that small quantity of provision material which I brought from Cincinnati has proved a blessing to several half-starved Esquimaux

My Advance party start early to-morrow Morning. Que-jes-se is here on board the vessel to be in readiness for the early start. Mr. S. has promised to be on hand by 3 o'clk A.M.

I will now record my trip to-day to upper village. My object was various, to wit, to see if any seal could be obtained for Ebierbing & Tuk-oo-li-too - to obtain the balance of my dogs which had strayed up there - to see if 2 or 3 additional dogs could not be had for 2 or 3 days for assisting in drawing our things over to Frobisher Bay
