down & join Ebierbing & Tuk-oo-li-too building them an Igloo along side & the men Innuits proceeding with dogs & sledge on a Bear - [[underlined]] Polar [[/underlined]] Bear - hunt.  Many tracks are thereabouts.

I have made reference a few times preceeding this, that [[underlined]] if I felt well enough, [[/underlined]] I might walk up & stop a few hours with E & T in about a week.

At present I am really under the weather - my afflictions mostly Job's comforters 
Within the last 2 weeks I have had some 6 or 7. At present I am sporting one on my back near right shoulder blade & one on my right leg midway bet. hip & knee, outside both well advanced.
I have just been in ecstasy at the rupture of one under my right arm (in "Armpit") I have no doubt my blood is disordered by the usual curse following the use of "Salt Junk" & "Salt Pork" at Sea. A few weeks ago, I had a burning itching all over my back - nearly whole body. Since the boils have commenced to afflict me the itching of which I write is no more. I have noticed among the officers & men that they have a constant itching as myself. At 1st it was attributed to the vermin which sometimes are be found in ones person visiting the tupiks or Igloos. But no! the charge belongs & to Salt Junk!

1861 Sat Mar 23

Not only am I troubled in way I write, but one of my toes - great toe on my right foot - was frozen during my stop at Budington Bay - & now requires nursing.  When I froze it I cannot tell.  This much, after my return to the vessel like my fingers the toe felt numb
After my 50 mile tramp of last Sunday this toe began to pain me for the 1st time. I put my knife to the flesh under the nail & over two large table spoonfulls of blister water poured out.
I am now having it poulticed with hot Indian Meal. The inflamation is now nearly out. For purifying my blood, I am taking every night & morning sulphur, Cream of Tartar & Molasses mixed to-gether.  This compound seems to be doing its desired work & effectually, taking 2 tea-spoon fulls only at once. [[underlined]] I have quit eating Salt provisions! [[/underlined]]

We have every morning (& for dinner) Walrus balls - (Fresh meat) wh. go good! I wish to get out again among the Innuits, living on their fresh meats.

After Dinner, one of the Innuits ("Charley") went out with his dogs Sealing. The finding a Seal Igloo was the first thing done. - [[strikethrough]] under [[/strikethrough]] into this "Charley" spears capturing the
