This has been a very fine day - one worth living for.

Sharkey arrived from the Innuit settlement (before described where Ebierbing is) with his family. He built an Igloo near the others astern of the G.H. Little girl (Innuit) "Oo-Kood-lear" & Ebierbing's little [[strikethrough]] boy [[/strikethrough]] nephew came down to take Kummiti & dogs back. E & Tukoolitoo are expecting to come in few days & proceede to Frobisher Bay.

After dinner I took pocket sextant Az. Compass & travelled out in the Bay & took observations. As I passed to the Northward of Crow Island I was met by Charley ([[space]]) who was returning with his seal dogs attached by harness to a young Seal wh. he had a few minutes before captured. Beautiful looking was that creature the young seal clothed in White as pure as the snows on wh. we were travelling. As I was on my way to vessel, I took the dog lines in hand & drove the team with seal for load.
