Not 15 minutes after striking land Kummitie & dogs with load of Innuits were seen coming from the course we were to pursue - They were soon by us - The [[strikethrough]] Co[[?]] [[/strikethrough]] ( ^[[Kok-e-o]] ) & Jim Crow ( ^[[Kin-ar-lu-bing]] ) They had a load of Walrus hide & blubber for the dogs that [[strikethrough]] was [[/strikethrough]] are being used in transporting things over to Whale depot - as well as some meat. They Chopped off liberal slices of frozen ^[[raw]] meat & presented to me & Que-jesse sh. we ate with great relish. On our way ^[[from ship]] while taking sights, Que-jesse hunted for Seal - Igloos - We saw three Seals lying out on the ice sunning! My rifle would have been a convenience in acquiring fresh provision for deposite till our return.

The bold mountains as we made the Water of Frobisher Bay. My excitement at the sighting of Kin-gaiter! The ice for 3 or 4 miles glare on striking the Bay from land. The last pencil

The descending Sun. Out long travel yet - Sighting Am[[?]]'s Island on making toward the entrance of the Bay. The Moon Silvering the White snow. Arrival at Anna[[?]] - the warm reception. - the very enthusiastic greeting
