As we arrived at the head of Look-out Island saw sledge tracks & that of dogs indicating fresh arrival at the vessel of team from Capt. B. Whale station
"Budington Ville"

On arrival on board found it so - "Sharkey" & Dick
(Kop-e-oo) with two teams. The Steward & Cook had retired but the former was wide awake enough to call my attention to a letter rom Capt. B. which starts thus:
"Budington Ville, June 1 XI AM
Dear Kind Hall We are all well here.
A light breeze from NW. The ice keeps us from the whale ground yet, but we live in hopes I have seen an [[?]] Island quite low right in the mouth of this Bay -
The natives tell me there is a good harbor there. If so I am all right some [[strikethrough]] furth [[/strikethrough]] future day. [[Yepe?]] was right about the "gib". Send down John Bull with the third sled. The ice is failing fast at this end of the route. You must call [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]]
on me as soon as [[strikethrough]] you [[/strikethrough]] possible. I want to see [[?]]. It is one thing have all the time. X2P. S.O. Budington"
