It is now twelve days since my departure from Newfoundland for the Arctic Regions and I cannot say I have [[underlined]] enjoyed [[/underlined]] the voyage thus far, for I have been sick! Sick? Aye, S-I-C-K [[strikethrough]] all the time [[/strikethrough]] without relief till now. Sea-sickness! O, it's too bad, especially after eating what would be called by those of appetite, a good dinner.  Well what of this? I am better now, so nothing of it, save in memory in as a terrible battle upon the heart's tablet of ^[[a]] conquering hero. 
To-day is my first to feel as a man should.
