4 [[page number]] 1861 June 30 + This eve I introduced the subject to Tuk-oo-li-too & Ebierbing of the probable delay I should be obliged to make relation to my voyage to King Williams Land - telling them the bad account Capt B. gave me of the Boats. These noble hearted Innuits seemed to feel they should never see me again. The former wept like a beloved child. Monday July 1 - 1861 A.M. M. P.M. One year ago to-day & the Innuit [[?"Oullarge"]] died & was buried in the sea. Be the memory of that noble soul green in my heart. At X O'clock this Morn Que-jes-se & Charley started off for Budington Ville - taking along with them "Johny Bull" who took along his wife. "Johny Bull" goes to drive up one of the dog teams - three sledges were taken back - one being strapped upon another. If the one upsets the other brings all "right side up with care". I have finished the letter to Gardiner as desired by Capt. B. He is to have Lamb & Smith with their things. Boats crews & their traps taken up to the low land bet. Bay of Frobisher & the one from Rescue Bay & there transfered to sledges. Capt. Budington Brot. up a wild goose that had been secured on his trip up Fr. Bay. It has made several [[underlined]] capital [[/underlined]] meals for us. It was cooked (Roasted & stuffed) according to rule of civilization. It went well. The Goose "hangs high" in my estimation tho' Capt. B. has changed his tune on this subject a little, singing: the "Goose hangs [[underlined]] low [[/underlined]] &c" [[end page]] [[start page]] ^[[1 page]] Supplement July 1st, 1861 [on board G.H.] P.M.
