The ice around the Vessel is yet firm save here & there a hole eaten through by sun & warm tide water. The change is however going on fast.
Not until last of this shall we be able to get out - if we do then.
I hope to be able to secure a good Innuit Boat's Crew for my exploring cruise to Budington Bay, this & Frobisher Bay during this Summer & Fall.
Find that Ebierbing & Kood-loo have been out Tuk-too hunting since I have been gone - that they secured two in same number of days.
We (Capt. B & I) have had several meals off of the venison given by Ebierbing. [[underlined]] No better eating need be. [[/underlined]]
