^[[2]] 1861 July 10th Wedns At 5 O'Clock this P.M. quite exciting times on the "George Henry". The beginning was the announcement that sledges from Budingtonville were in sight. We all flew on deck - starboard Quarter - & sure that was sledge with Gardiner, Bailey & some of his Boat's crew just coming into the harbor, south, this side Look Out Island. A few moments, & sledge! load upon here. The other team was but a little way behind. Good News! The [[underlined]] verification [[/underlined]] of my strongly establishment opinion [[underlined]] freely [[/underlined]] expressed at all times - that there were Whales - [[underlined]] am-a-su-ad-ho [[/underlined]] in the Bay of Frobisher. These seen by Mate Rogers & his Boat's crew last Monday - day before yesterday. Four seen same day & many others heard spouting by the Innuit [[?Annawa]] while out in his Ki-u!! The information of those Innuits that communicated with me has now been proved as reliable!
