Capt. B.  He has done his duty manfully, nobly.  The results have not been as men have [[underlined]] worked [[/underlined]] & hoped for.
Seeing to-night that the heavy & continual solicitude for the advancement of the interests of the owners of the "George Henry" was bearing so pressingly painful upon Capt B. that I determined to show I was a friend by talking to him as a friend should - cheeringly - in a way to turn such feelings of disappointment as might lead to despair to the [[underlined]] [[?wanted]] channel in his mind, [[/underlined]] to wit, to hopefulness & firm: [[underlined]] 'I'll try - I will do the best I can!  What more cann one ask of me that that?' [[/underlined]] x x x x x x x x x x x x 
I have done a deed - such as my heart - conscience justifies.  I called from on deck to Capt B. who was sitting alone in the Main Cabin.  He responded by coming up.  All or nearly all had retired.  I approached Capt. B. as I had determined.  I cannot repeat what I said to him, for words &

came thick & fast.  I felt what I had to say - & said it.  God grant that I spoke not in vain to one who has ever greatly befriended me.  Blessings are ever falling in showers upon us (poor mortals at best) whether we recognize the fact or not.  Man is never [[underlined]] true [[/underlined]] to himself - to God - but as he acknowledges, praises & [[underlined]] advises [[/underlined]] Him who thus blesses.  "In all thy ways, [[underlined]] acknowledge Him, [[/underlined]] & He shall direct thy paths.'
Ebirnbing, while aboard this PM, told me he & his nooliana, Tuk-oo-li-too, wanted I should come over to their Tupik - that they wished to have "a talk" with me.  I accordingly went over an hour before ten.  Ebirnbing said that Uyarny wanted he & T. should go with him & his family to Oo-kood-lear in his (U's) boat, starting to-morrow taking along with them all their things - virtually moving them.
