wanted to strike direct from Home - (or rather I might say to Og-bier-sier-u-ping for an Innuit's Home is anywhere) that is - follow down the middle of the Bay, taking advantage of the tide, but after an hour's progress a strong head wind came up obliging R & his crew to make back to the tupiks they left in the Morning. There they brot. to, at X. night. Stopped there that night - next morning 8 O'Clk under way again. At this place R. says Ebierbing wept like a child. At 1st he (R.) was at a loss for the cause of it - but soon found it was where he (E.) had spent many of his childhood days when his father & mother were living. At XI P.M. of Friday R. arrived with crew where I parted from them on the Morning of Wedns. 24th. [[underlined]] During 4 hours of the last part of R's trip it rained & blowed hard. [[/underlined]]
