The weather still bad.  This Morning at X, Sharkey & Boat crew returned from ship.  A short [[underlined]] time [[/underlined]] I learned they had returned to the vessel.  They brought no word from Capt. B.  - Through the Innuits found that [[?E-e-u-ar-ping]] had told that Capt. B. had concluded not to proceed with his purpose to cruise for Whales in Frobisher Bay - that if a harbor could be found to-day in the upper part of Rescue Bay he would anchor for the season in it.  These Innuits (Sharkey & [[?E-e-u-ar-ping]] with Koo-jesse & Jim Crow [[strikethrough]] the latter 2 to [[/strikethrough]] are going, I suppose with Capt. B. to point out such a place as will answer for a harbor.  Rescue Harbor is a bad one to get out when the wind is favorable to go down the Bay to the Sea.
I got up late this Morning from my broken sleep in taking cure of sick Ebierbing.  When I

was sound sleep, I was awoken not for the purpose of getting me up but to give room by moving a little one side for Jennie to AnKoot in.  I got up of course, & was an attentive listener.  Jennie is not only a good An-Koot professionally - but good looking.  Would pass for handsome with many judges of beauty.  She seems an [[underlined]] honest [[/underlined]] An-Koot wh. is more than can be truthfully said of all who take up that profession.  This has been a rainy day though the wind has been only fresh
Toward night the clouds at the N.W. began to show signs of fair weather.
To-day made further progress into the case of Pemmican opened yesterday.  Cutting off additional piece of the top (can of Tin & was hermetrically sealed) I found to my surprise a written card encased in plate tin reading thus:
