then to the left, then direct ahead all of wh. motions were indexed by the motions of Kood-loo so that Koo-jes-se could at once change course corresponding.  In 7 minutes Duck gave in.  It was hooked in by Kood-loo a defunct, drowned Duck!  The feelings of glee were quite as great over this common feat among them as tho' a Ni-noo had been scoured for their eating.  The shouts made the bluff & mountains by Lupton Channel ring with tremendous shouts.  Tho' a cruel death to duck yet I must say I participated in the novel work.  I never conceived there could be so much excitement raised all about a duck!

hI-m35 Chro Kin-gaite in sight!
Island on left hand side going down Western Channel Lupton Straits Oo-hav-tuk bing 
Direction of Channel N. & S. by Boat Compass 
Sun shining on the Mts. of Kin-gaite - but no where else.  Another Chase Koo-per neu-ung on bread Cask, Kood-loo with hook in hand.  Now chasing & drowning Duck - been up 4 times - Koo-per-neu-ung still of Cask containing the staff of Life & Koo-loo ready with said instrument.
(hI-m50 Chro) Duck hooked in!  Novel sport!!
Koo-per-neu-ung mounted aloft by the boat's bow with Boat hook & watching course of duck & communicating by signs the direction to be given to Boat by Boat Steerer.  No expenditure for Ammunition!!! - in this way of hunting.
