& Koo-jes-se - & myself go onto the Isd. Returned! Koo-jes-se had my rifle - all three Innuits in Indian file - the careful march all three aim & fire at once - the Seal rolled off the rocks dead. I hastened to boat & with the 3 ladies (?) took it to the spot - a search among the sea forests tide sweeping past the spot had swept the Seal away. It was too poor to float - was a fine large seal weighing I should think 300 lbs. Blood smeared rocks. A long search but in vain.

Start hVII-m45 Chro.
The thousands of Ducks Koo-per-neu-ung spied on S.E. side channel. Innuits anxious to proceed after them. I decided that we must push on to get to [[?Ni-oon-te-lik]]
The tens of thousands of Me'tuks (Ducks)
Kingaite in sunlight - this side clouded all day
hVIII-m25 just to W. entrance Lupton Channel
The everlasting snows of Kin-gaite & raidient in sunlight - the whole length bright on the other side - otherwise whole Heavens in gloom.
No ice in Frobisher Bay save a few Ice bergs now in sight
