not been for low tide.
The usual channel though wh. Innuits pass in going from here up the Bay was dry land when we reached it.
A pleasing incident & a joke.
From the Point where we took Koo-per-neu-ung aboard the land this side looked continuous running far out into Frobisher Bay near to Ki-Ki-tuk-ju-a - in fact seemed to be joined to it. I had the position of Boat Steerer in crossing this last Bay & directed to a Place in the land pointed out to me by Koo-jesse. The breeze we had in crossing was the first fine & favorable one had since leaving "George Henry". Some of the distance the latter part of it made at rate 10 Knots per hour.
Arriving to entrance to channel I asked Koo-jesse if we had not better use this fine breeze in going on as far as possible to-night?
There was twinkle in his eye when he said: Well, if you say so we'll try it. The old [[?saw]] came into mind 'Ther's nothing like trying,' so I doubted now we should succeede yet
