8th Enc. Day

Earthquake like My steps were light - I breathed softly - & praised God for his Wonderful Works!
I say the Mountain's side was perpendicular on the side [[strikethrough]] I descended and [[/strikethrough]] I describe. In some places big caverns had been made leaving the mountain's side hanging over.
To-night the beautiful Aurora sprung instantly to view as I laid upon my back by our camp fire viewing the glorious heavens. Especially around in the vicinity of the Moon was the Dancing, racing to & fro Aurora.
But the most remarkable phenomena I ever witnessed of the Kind was the peculiar movements of the clouds over-head. They moved by [[underlined]] hitches [[/underlined]] for a few seconds passing with the wind slowing & then stopping for some length of time. I called the Innuits attention to it & they noticed this as something they never saw before. It seemed as if they were battling with an unseen enemy - but that the clouds had the greater power & forced their way by steps along the [[strikethrough]] heavily to [[/strikethrough]] vault above. The clouds were white & cumulous. I thought it a strange matter as indeed it was to me. Without doubt the Aurora had something to do in this strange matter.
