him in hand that I shall listen to him as he tells me the Innuit names of the places he has drawn.  As soon as he has an island, or bay, or cape drawn he stops & waits till I write down the name - then again he punches.
I am enjoying this treat - Alloke awaits me I see.  As I was about to Say I enjoy the time I am having with the Innuits. Another Island drawn for I have a punch with the busy pencil. Allokee was very loth to attempt this drawing but soon as I said: 'Tobacco [nick[[guess]]' he took pencil in hand & for the 1st time in his life is using his drawing wits. He seems to take pride in what he is now doing.
If I can, I will put in a word here. Twee-oon ("Susy") has an old piece of cambric wh. she is making into a skirt. She says that she gave 2 seal skins for it, traded with Puto for the same.
If it were at home it would go at once into the rag bag or into the street more probable

& thence into hands of the street rag hunter.
Now 10 P.M. - Jack (Ang-u-wer-^[[shung]]) son of Allokee & Koo-muk (or Koo-mung) is making a terrible noise An-koo-ting by the too-pik of his father.  He is rather a poor hand at it, - but he draws forth hearty responses from his ordinary father & mother.
Koo-per-neu-ung & Koo-jes-se have come in the former with a Seal - the latter with Took-too skin leaving the venison for - the Crows or whatever else [[strikethrough]] not [[/strikethrough]] may wish a pick at it. So of the 2 rein deer Koo-per-neu-ung killed yesterday bringing in the furs & the Tood-nook. The fact is but a small proportion of what animals are killed is now wanted!
Seals are killed & skinned - the blubber & meat thrown away! Kood-loo not yet arrived. He seems determined to have some rein-deer furs for his & family's use next winter.
The scenery here I think fine. The setting sun the glowing ^[[cloudless]] [[/strikethrough]] clou [[/strikethrough]] sky - the sha^[[r]]p outline cut in the N.W., [[strikethrough]] W [[/strikethrough]] West & SW ^[[sky]] by the
