12th Enc 3d day 17th Day

I have spent the day in Tupik mostly reading my Bible. The men Innuits, save one, went out Deer hunting this Morning. They took the Boat of "Mr. Miner" ([[space]]) & proceeded toward the other side of the Bay. Probably will not return for 2 or 3 days.
Another trembling of the Mountains to-day! I simply mean that a terible noise was made by women & children in chasing & killing another little mouse.
This P.M. the wife of Jack has been AnKooting sick Twer-oong - "Susy".
The Sun-set to-night fine. I never saw more beautiful days & nights than here. The sky with all the mellow tints that a poet could conceive.
The moon & Aurora now make the Nights glorious.
The preparations made by the Innuits for catching salmon by our Enc. secured none.
