I asked them about Salmon if they were there?  They said [[strikethrough]] not [[/strikethrough]] there were none but another kind of fish called Oo-wong were in the waters of Ag-goon & along down Kin-gaite side. I turned to a work I have with me, [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] "Cyclopaedia of Natural Sciences", & opened it at "Gadidae" - the Cod fish family where I found an illustration of Morrhua Collarias (Gadus morrhua/Cod fish). I asked them if the Oo-Wong was like that pointing to the fish picture? They examined it closely & said it was.
I pushed my enquiries as well as I could & found that they catch them with hook & line the hook baited. To get at the exact fact I took out a Cod-fish hook from my tin box of choice things, attached a line to it ^[[hooked]] [[strikethrough]] placed [[/strikethrough]] ^[[on]] a piece of writing paper folded up to represent bait - then I dropped the hook dangling holding it by the string in my hand. I then made a bite at hook receiving the barbed point softly against the roof of mouth. It pleased them much this operation of - (shall I call it Cod-fish Aristocracy?) - fishing. They said the way Innuits catch

Oo-wong was all the same. I shall make myself satisfied on this point when I go over there, which I hope will be soon.
I have been engaging a Boats crew from among the ladies of the town Ar-le-e-tung to go with me to Ag-goun to-morrow of fair providing Koo-jes-se & his company do not make their appearance to-night.  Jack ( ) son of Allokee who accompanied Koo-jes-se & the others Took-too-ing returned at XI to-night.
He came back in his Ki-a - brought skins & [[in blue]] ^[[ [[?]] ]] [[/in blue]] tood-noo of 2 Reindeer wh. he had shot. He did not go ^[[as far ^[[as]] the others]] to Kin-gaite side but hunted on Main land Head of Fr. Bay.
Just before Sun-set I took a walk on [[underlined]] the bottom [[/underlined]] of a portion of Frobisher Bay! All along the coast on this side ^[[F. Bay]] when tide is out the land appears. One can walk out 1/2 to 1 mile without any difficulty from the shore - tide out. Some places a fine sand beach
