Fresh " [[ditto for: Cloudy]] Koo-jes-se came to me to know if he could go Took-too-ing to-day. I told him yes as I was not able to make an excursion to-day. Koo-jes-se, Koo-per-neu-ung & Kood-loo have therefore gone on a hunt. Weather propitious of a change for the better. My night's rest tho' broken yet an improvement on the one preceeding. I have applied a salve made simply Rein-deer tallow. I can do no better. It seems to ease the painful character wh. the abscess possessed. This Morning I thought what I could relish - cooked ook-gook - then a dislike for it followed - then Coffee & Biscuit came into mind. So I had "Susy" ([[space]]) of my crew make me a fire over wh. I placed the well remembered tea-kettle of Tuk-ar-li-too which she kindly loaned me on this expedition partly filled with water. While heating this, Shu-Kong daughter of my particular kind Innuit friend Twer-oong came to me with a dish of fresh venison, minced & cooked, still smoking hot. Incorporated with this was some of the sea-bread wh. I had given to Twer-oong for her own eating! This was broken up fine & cooked soft with the venison.
