weakness. If I had been at home I should [[strikethrough]] have [[/strikethrough]] call myself a sick man - & so I doubt not my good friend M.D. would - I mean Dr. O.E. Newton. O, how I wish he were here now with me! I think I would at once pick up again as I [[strikethrough]] hav [[/strikethrough]] always^[[have]] when afflicted with sickness, under his skillful care. But many a mile separates us.  Every now & then I think of the "George Henry" - [[underlined]] of her Commander. [[/underlined]] If he (Capt. B.) should see me now, I know with what kindness ^[[&]] [[strikethrough]] I [[/strikethrough]] nursing he would meet me. But I must make the best of it. [[in blue]] [ [[/in blue]] To-morrow we leave our 15th Enc. [[left margin blue vertical line to bottom of page]] for the place of the 13th. There I shall find my good souled, Innuit friend Twer-oong who will prepare me something good.
I do not like to leave here till I have done more work - but I must go - sick as I am.
The weather now indicates a favorable change. This eve it is pleasant. I pray ^[[God]] to bless me with restored health.
This eve at high tide, I & Koo-jes-se were going to take the Boat & ferry the river that I might visit the [[underlined in blue]] remarkable phenomenon [[/underlined in blue]] of these regions - the [[underlined]] Sand Mt. [[/underlined]] But I have sent for him to come to my tupik - saying I
