Last night Wind & Snow beating upon the earth with great force. Since yesterday Noon, all of 3 inches snow. The lands far & near this Morning White. Koo-per-neu-ung, Koo-jes-se & Kood-loo not yet in. This is too bad. I need them to assist me some, but Innuits are Innuits - come & go when they please. I must make the best of it!
This Morning, if these parties were here, I should make a trip across the harbor & then proceede on my course downwards. No longer delay can be allowed, soon as they are in. On my return to the ship, I must make a flying trip up to Budington Bay

- to the head of it - up one side & down the other - sweeping around the Islands that lie Eastward of said Bay & go a little distance up west side of Entrance to Northumberland Inlet.
This accomplished, I must again go around Rescue Bay - thence continuing along the Coast N. side of the "Extreme Land" between Frobisher Bay & Rescue Bay - round the [[underlined]] "Extreme" [[/underlined]] - thence coast along S. side said Extreme Land to "Bear Sound" - thence up Lupton Strait to Rescue Bay again, thence to the "George Henry" - & my Work for the Season here North is done.
Of course, I have much to do, if health will permit, between here & the ship.
I must stop 2 days on the Island Ni-oun-te-lik, "Countess of Warwick" Island, of Frobisher, in returning. I fear now Snow will be found covering the ground there.
