They saw many - [[underlined]] am-a-su-ad-lo [[/underlined]] - rein-deer - had made many shots at many more than they killed but somehow the guns were faulty. I asked Koo-jes-se why he did not take my rifle? - he said he wanted give trial to his gun - was fearful he would loose the hang of it if he used such an instrument as my rifle all the time.
Koo-jes-se shot one very large Rein-deer - broke one of its legs - but it got into the water & away it swam. He was unable to secure it.
I asked Koo-jes-se how they (he & K) managed in such stormy weather as we had had some of the time while they had been out to keep themselves comfortable - these dark nights especially? Koo-jes-se also enquired where the Tupiks were? I replied by the index finger pointing in direction of 13th & 16th Encs.
I proposed to Koo-jes-se to relieve him of a portion
