I asked Koo-jes-se why he did not take my rifle? - he said he wanted give trial to his gun - was fearful he would loose the hang of it if he used such an instrument as my rifle all the time. Koo-jes-se shot one very large Rein-deer - broke one of its legs - but it got into the water & away it swam. He was unable to secure it.
