turned to enter an arm of the Harbor that made up N. It was done well - just nik & tuk - Koo-jes-se the Boat Steerer. We were only 15 minutes passing the Harbor say 2 1/2 miles to place where we landed. I told Koo-jes-se I wanted him to go up on to the highest part of the land with me - that Koo-loo had better remain in the Boat & keep it afloat till our return, for the tide was falling fast. My wishes were listened to & gratified as [[underlined]] they are occasionally [[/underlined]] by these Innuits. Our steps up hills over snow, snow-banks! up mountains were rapid. Getting up to the apex of one that seemed to over-top all around, found that the view was still limited from the more important places that I wished to "sight" - thence down we hastened, crossed valley & ascended another wh. was more favorable for my use. Tho' not the best if I had the time to go to another.
