In making way to Boat Koo-per-neu-ung & myself see ahead a noble, fine Took-too lying on one of the little plains. K. has now gone to secure it with his gun. I see the royal antlers & the deer itself. Poor nay [[underlined]] fat [[/underlined]] fellow your time is short. It now scents (I am looking through spy) the air - starts up & away it goes. One report - another! The took-too is a prize no doubt. I hasten on - - - - It is a fine one. I sense that the took-too went directly into the very pass - mid rocks where Koo-per-neu-ung was! [[underlined]] The 2 shots were effective. [[/underlined]] I hastened on at the request of Koo-per-neu-ung to call Koo-jes-se & Kood-loo to come & assist him. These parties & the rest of crew with Boat I found at a point that runs out S.E. side of Cape. Koo-jes-se & Kood-loo did not seem pleased to hear of Koo-per-neu-ung's success. They were a long time getting ready to assist K. In asking Koo-jes-se some questions about the deer when all were around it, he (Kooj) was cross - short in his answers!

I am disappointed in this fellow.
Thank God, my time is short with him & his companions!
An hour has been spent in skinning & cutting up Took-too. Of course any thing in way of pleasing themselves all right; but when I have work for them [[underlined]] all wrong. [[/underlined]]
Mts of Kin-gaite covered with snow. No ice in the upper part of the Bay. A sand bottom making the water look of a bright green color all around far & near. Now 38 Rein deer by the 3 hunters.
At 12 Merid. a snow storm! From S.E. blowing furiously. Boat shipping much water.
As Koo-per-neu-ung & I made near the spot where he shot Took-too we saw the other Boat ahead crossing the bight making in after rounding the Cape.
