While I am writing Jack's nooliana (Oo-Kod-ling-un) is making a terrible [[?spatting]], shouting & some almost un-earthy noises - at least sounds that I never before heard from a human being not excepting the most accomplished An-ge-ko. She is An-Koo-ting "Old Allokee" who has some complaint in the breast. Oo-Kod-ling-un is not a finished hand at the business tho Jack a professional An-ge-ko is try-ing his best to break her in. He finds the business [[underlined]] pays [[/underlined]] & wishes to make his noo-loo-an-a do [[underlined]] the [[/underlined]] Work for Jack is not only too lazy to seal & hunt Took-too but is really getting too lazy even to An-koot. The Men Innuits have spent much of the day in the game of snow balling each other.
This P.M. Suzy (Koo-on-le-ung) set up a singular sing following it up with a long loud "baby-cry" quite a [[underlined]] fashion [[/underlined]] among the Innuit ladies! She continued it for near 1 hour. This Morn men Innuits took their guns & went out after Rabbits but got none tho several were sighted.
To-night Twer-oong sent me in cooked Took-too & soup all hot. Her cooking tastes so like civilization that it carries me far into the land I love America. I improved the opportunity of carrying her in a dish of hot tea shortly after with Sea bread in it.
