Little Se-nik-po (sleep) did I get last night.
To a late hour, near 12 (Midnight) in the little Aft Cabin did Capt. B. & I prolong our "talk" together - & then when I did retire, could not sleep from the great change from the free, cool air of the tupik's for that of the stove-heated air of the ship. Forty-nine nights & 50 days have found me without the influence of the general warmpth of fire. Same that which burns within the human system.
Many days before getting back to the ship, the Mountain streams - the pools - here & there - everywhere about - were locked in ice-chains. And yet, as a general thing I have been comfortable - at least, from sleeping cold.
