Ans. = A great many times when I have been out in Ki-a [[underlined]] have seen the Whales so numerous that could not see the Water! - [[/underlined]] Smoke (spouts) of the Whales everywhere. The year Capt Sutter came here one year after Brown - he went down into Tu-nuk-jok-ping-oo-see-ong. Near Oo-bin-see-o-ping the Whales there very numerous but shy because men in the boats made such a noise with their heavy Boots. both Artarkparu & wife came down in Inuit Oo-[[?mier]] [[strikethrough]] were with Capt. Sutter [[/strikethrough]] Capt. Suter got only one Whale & that one at Knew-gum-mi-ook [[line across page]] The infant so full of its cry that it requires all of Tuk-oo-li-too's whole attention - the little thing is sick.
