Ebierbing has been here this eve.  He came into the little Aft Cabin & took him through a lesson in playing Chess.  While engaged at it, the Innuit from Toong-wine, Allokee's son, Ne-u-ar-pung, came in & sat down on the Locker, watching our movements with great attention.  Ne-u-ar-pung is a fine looking Innuit has some of the characteristics of North American Indians.  Stands erect dignified high cheek bones piercing eye.  A Noble Innuit is he.  Just as Ebierbing, Kood-loo, & Ne-e-u-ar-ping were about starting, I went to the little pantry - got the lantern (saw the [[space]]) took out the light & let E. & N. light their pipes & then went on deck looked at Thermometer (13°) & turned to Ebierbing & asked him if he & Tuk-oo-li-too had had "[[underlined]] the [[/underlined]] talk"?  He answered affirmatively.  I then asked him if he & she thought they would go to America with me?  He said 'Yes Sir' - or the equivalent.  This Morning, I went over to Ebierbing's & communicated to them (E. & T.) what was the result of the conversation had with Capt. B. last light - told them that
