has treated me with the best food he has had on hand when I was about, has called in to see me.
Oo-soo-kun-loo a fine Innuit a great deer hunter has also been in. Little An-nu-tik-er-tung, cousin of Puk-e-ne-yer has also called in & many others.
The Igloo of Sampson is occupied by his mother - or rather his mother in law (Mother of his wife) & her brother.
As we retire I find there are 7 beside myself to occupy the same bed. As there is not room for all to recline with heads one way I am to place my head toward the opposite side of the Igloo from the entrance the Innuit way being to place their heads toward the entrance & the fires. Little puk-e-ne-yer sleeps next to me the brother of Sampson's wife on my other side.
The evening is fine - but I see no such fine display of Aurora as in the other Bays.

A Day Long to be remembered by the author of this Private Journal!
More testimony (traditionary) of Frobisher's Voyage to this Bay!
The interview with Old Innuit Woman PE-tat-tu!

I arose at a late hour (VIII-00) this Morning because I slept but little last night so hot & impacted was I among hot-blooded Innuits. My nether limbs were wedged between little Puk-e-ne-yer & her unkle so that I could not move them short of exciting groans & waking up my 7 sleeping partners!
When "Sampson" got up, it left me turning room. He was up a long time before the time indicated (VIII-00) & off on his took-too trip. I had some refreshing sleep after the withdrawal of his massive form.
When I awoke from my lost sleep of this Morning, found little Puk-e-ne-yer & her mate & cousin, An-nu-tak-or-tung, by my side awaiting my awaking & getting up.
I expected an invitation from Sampson's noo-loo-an-a (wife) to breakfast on raw frozen Walrus - finding my expectations not likely to be verified I called for some of my Black-Skin wh. I had brought up with me. Of this I partook perhaps 2 ounces - this made out my morning fare. I then went down to the Igloo where Kook-Smith & Her Smith put up. I told them my purpose was to make a trip up the Inlet making up from Toong-wine to-day. Before making preparations had a talk with Oo-soo-Kar-loo who had come down from said Inlet the evening before for the object of making an Igloo preparatory to movving down with his family. I had learned that Oo-soo-kar-loo was a great Deer hunter & possessed far more deer skins than any other Innuit of the country. I sent out for him to come into Koo-Kin's Igloo where Kook-Smith, Smith & I were at that time. Oo-soo-Kar-loo was
