There I beheld the little Innuit sound asleep, already dubbed with the name "Ek-er-loun" just 2 weeks old! Allokee must be quite Sixty years of age & Koo-muk 55! The infant is feminine gender. This accounted satisfactorily for the lively motions of Koo-muk wh. I had mistaken for shivering with cold! I found the wife of "Bill" a very interesting woman - very communicative & pleasant - good looking withal - her cheeks & chin tat-tooed with the usual blue streaks for the married ladies. All wanted to answer. As it was every one had something to say - all agreeing that Whales [[underlined]] amasuit [[/underlined]] (a great many) had been seen. Ook-gook-allo said that he went out in his Ki-a day after day about 2 Months ago - just after I & my party passed down the bay on my homeward trip from head of Frobisher Bay - that as often as he went out saw an inexpressible number of Whales.
