The 1st Relic - Its unknown source, found on the small Island Ood-le-shar-ong Sept 5 1860

In a letter to Henry Grinnell Esq. in the fall of 1860 (the year I left the States [[strikethrough]] ) I said [[/strikethrough]] which letter I find was generally published) I said relative to this relic I now show you: 
"I will add that I have found near this place Lat 62[[degree symbol]] -51[[feet symbol]] N. Long. 65[[degree symbol]] -5[[feet symbol]] W. one of the best & most valuable specimens of Iron oar I ever met with. Its weight 25 lbs. & of an extraordinary shape - & 90 per cent pure iron!
