Start from 20 Enc. on Island W. side what I feel to call "Grinnell Islet" after my noble friend H. Grinnell h1 - m45 (VIII - 45 AM) 1st under oars - when [[strikethrough]] a [[/strikethrough]] rounding a Point near by then under Sail - Wind N. E. Light breeze - the snow of this morn lasted but 1/2 hour - All of 8 inches of snow has fallen since making 20th Enc. Trend of Island on wh made 20th Enc. E & W (true)
Island 1 mile long - & 1/2 in its widest part. East of this Island other Islands 1 mile distant to the longest general Trend of middle this. 
Bay appears now to be N.N.W. & S.S.E. Then from appearances in passing this Bay Ki-ki-tuk-ju-a crosses it so completely that one would suppose that to be the termination but it is not - the Bay extends far above us can be seen from the tops of the mountains on either side of entrance to bay - that is when snow is off the land as I have seen - and I saw it going up Land of each side Bold - on the E more than W. side.
