[[/left margin vertical]]
Our course back direct across country of Warwick E[[?]] to Ni-oun-te-lik - our progress rapid - the wind of such direction & so strong obliged to make landing on opposite side Island of Ni-oun-te-lik from the tupik -
sweep around into the same bight where I landed the [[image: cross, representing Sunday]] I found the coal on the way up Frobisher Bay - put Kood-loo ashore to prospect Heavy sea - long time landing him - Dark - made into this bight hXII-m00 Chro. Full 2 hours landing drawing up the Boat & making up the high abrupt Bank flanking the place of landing - Boat up, the first of Innuits an Bull Seal on the rocks at base of said abrupt bank - my struggles in the dark getting up this bank -
descending & again descending - the carrying of Chro & other things to place above the tumbling rocks at each foot hold gained - rocks rolling down amidst the feasters. Bank mounted consisted of sand & stone -
Dangerous place - but conquered the obstacles- loaded myself down left the Innuits still at their stuffing work & made across the Island to tupiks - No ht coffee or tea as "[[?]]" was wont to have in [[?]] from me - my supper cold water & molasses with bread [[?]] in it - Dried venison & Took-noo - a cold compound to a cold system. To-morrow if the weather will admit of it, we leave this interesting place (interesting to me) on our way to the ship
