Less than 1/2 minute elapsed when I heard Koo-jes-se shout: "Iron!! Iron!!!" I turned around & he had nearly ^[[& holding]] mounted the steep bank near the point where I stood. by the sharp points of the rocks for stepping stairs his hand resting on a piece of rusty Iron that just protruded from beneath the debris of [[underlined]] Stone [[/underlined]] that had been dug out for the Ship's Trench & thrown up making a Bank - He continued shouting 'big [[the "b" is overwritten by a capital "B" in blue ink]] Iron! big piece! Can't stir him!' Of course I was soon on the spot tho not without considerable risk of getting a fall - I took hold of the small portion [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]] seen of the iron & Could not move it - I found we would find it too heavy for transport by boat to the Ship - but after digging around it by several strong pulls it started. It was firmly cemented to the sand and Stone around it by the rust [[strikethrough]] that embedded [[/strikethrough]] of 3 Centuries that had emanated[[guess]] from it. Behold it was of same Character as the iron found at Dik-Koon [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] less than one mile from Kod-lu-narn - the same as the iron I found on "Look-out" on Rescue Bay! This settles the matter about those "heavy Stone" - this tells unmistakenly where the iron I found on "Look out Island" came from.
