Now for [[underlined]] Generalization [[/underlined]] as I cannot possibly continue in detail - This Book is mostly written in the Boat while under way - I have just completed the doing up Carefully all specimen ^[[just]] obtained on the deeply interesting Island Kod-lu-narn and labeled them properly - my stockings & mittens, my cap & hat are all in use filled with these specimens - Even the Cap I had on when I went upon the Island is worn by my side filled with Coal, stone from the Bank by the Ship's way & the Sand cemented together by the rust of the iron found in Bank of Stone debris.
No Cloth however is upon my head protecting me from the cold wind that now prevail.
O that I could have remained ^[[strikethrough]] To day [[/strikethrough]] instead of 2 hours - two days ^[[Ago, 2 weeks on]] [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] Kod-lu-narn! Yet in 2 hours of to-day what have I accomplished? Satisfactory work indeed did I perform in that time. I must put this on paper now. [As I had my hand upon the Iron relic after having unearthed it & seen what it was - [[underlined]] like a flash [[/underlined]] the whole of Circumstances [[strikethrough]] blanket[[guess]] ^[[flew]] across my my mind. All this ^[[passed thru mind]] to wit: My determination ^[[before starting]] to induce [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] my notive crew to stop with me at Kod-lu-narn - the proposal while making the transit from Ni-oun-te-lik
