" 2d This day the wind blowing hard from N.W. - the ice breaking - the sledge wentto the ship to-day. " 3d Saturday - the wind light from the NW. - The Pack-ice drew in along side the floe so we cannot get the boats off to-day - sent the sledge after Coal. " 4th Sunday - the wind light from the N.W. - the rations often [[?then ?tuk]] to-day in their snow huts melting down " 5th Monday - the wind light from W.N.W. & clear - two boats off to-day - got a [[underlined]]few ducks.
