Sudden departure from Og-bier-seer-o-ping for the "George Henry" - Capt. Budington's arrival at Og-bier-seer-o-ping with Boats Crew [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] announcing that the vessel is about free from its ice prison.

0 h XII-00 Sun and close to the landing where I came up ^[[for ice & other]] Obs. accompanied by Smith & others (Innuits & whites) July 29 Tues. XII - 05 even with Mt. Peak wh. is W. side Lupton Channel as it ends at R. Bay  [The tide now very strong & swift during the making of this passage to here] Time, speed &c not [[strikethrough]] not [[/strikethrough]] or observed.
XII - 07 turn into Rescue Bay - h 1 - m 30 middle of the N. Channel leading into the Bay wh. leads out of Rescue Bay towards Og-bier-seer-o-ping said Channel being the one entered into by Rescue fall of 1860 short of Pulling from ^[[Ling[[guess]] ]] Lupton Channel(s 12) per 6.7 feet - [[underlined]] h 2 - m 20 [[/underlined]] on W. side of the Island to where pass is made by sledges during Winter when a [[underlined]] Stop [[/underlined]] is made by the 5 boats for 4 casks. Speed (s 12) Here at this Point wh. is the one reached on Course 101° by Compass, from the Cape where E. & Kood-loo's tupiks are. I make Obs.; [[underlined]] Mt. Warwick bears 180° [[/underlined]] Mt. of observation of S.E. Ex 190[[degree symbol]]; 2d Channel 182°; Sing-eye-yer Pt (1st & 5th Enc) 268° Bud. Mt. 296 (?) - Rt. Tang. French Head 312°; Top Island by this Pass in wh. Pass [[strikethrough]] Ice[[guess]] [[/strikethrough]] is [[strikethrough]] my [[/strikethrough]] my position 140° - [[strikethrough]] Bearing at [[/strikethrough] Sight down middlle[[guess]] of Pass = 110°

French Head 122° - 45' - Center Mt Obs. of S. E. Ex. to Rt. to Mt. Warwick 10° - to Center Isd Mt by Pass (close to) 50° - 30° - Sylvia Grinnell Isd Entrance Mts. C. &c not to be seen from my present position

IV - 00 ^[[(s12) say Course 312° even with middle French Head (& near it) Now ^[[IV - 10]] while preparing make sextant angles IV-10 even [[strikethrough]] with [[/strikethrough]] with sharp Pt. low land that shoots out 1/6 of a mile or so Northerly of French Head [wh. is the highest & most prominent Bluff Headland about Rescue Bay] The Sextant angles: S.E. Ex [Mt of obs] to Left to Budington Mt. 109° - 50'.  Sing-eye-yen Pt (1st & 5th Enc) to Tarrioarctune on Cape S. Side Castle Bay 10° - 25' - same to Lt. to Bud Mt 33° - 00' - to Grinnell Mt. 56° - 30' - to Cyrus W Field Mt 71° - 30' To Mt (Round top) that is the direction or ^[[1st]] Course from Ship as starting for [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] the Pass to Oo-ping-ne-wa [said Mt. on Coast W. side R. Bay] 78° - to Bluff this side (S. side) Parker's Bay 82° - to depth of indentation bet Parker's Bay & F. Head 116°; VII-00 (s 12) passing Parker's Bay (the entrance to it); [[underlined]] VI - 15 [[/underlined]] opposite the Bluff N. side Parker's Bay. [[underlined]] Arrive Ship VII - 35 (Chro) [2 - 35 P.M.] (s 12) for Compare Chrons. & PM obs.
