Having returned aboard & eaten my supper of "hard tack & salt pork" ^[[ [wh is now to be our fare home[ ]] engaged a Boat's crew to take me down the Bay to place 1st Enc.
to get my Innuit friends, Ebierbing & Tuk-oo-li-too, who are to accompany me th America.  The crew consisted of Ad. Baily for Boat steerer, "Fluker, [[?Bleporn]] "Frank", Bruce & the Steward to man the oars.  [[there is an encircled "Frank" pointing to "Frank."]]
Started XI-30 (VI-15 PM) Course direct for N. end Look-Out then for S. Ex of line of Island direct, or nearly so, with Course to N. end "Look-out."  As I had repeatedly measured distance to said place I did not take along log or Chro.
!Returned with Ebierbing & Tuk-oo-li-to & infant [Tuk-en ^[[ Lik-e-too ]] aboard at XII (midnight)
