[[boxed date]] 1862 June 10 Tues [[/boxed date]] Knows all about this. Ebierbing says that he has seen it - was quite young when he saw it. Recollects his father visiting it & giving it young Took-too. I have endeavored to make out what Bay it is near. O. at first said it was not far from Toong-wine. Ming-u-toon is just across on N.W. side entrance to Bay making up there - on day's journey from Ming-u-toon would [[?carry ?out]] to the Bay 1st beyond the little Bay "Beauty Bay". The name of one Innuit that saw the two ships of Frobisher perpatrated among the Innuits, this name [[large, dark, drawn, capital letters on a line by itself]] "MAN NU" Innuits at the time the two ships came here very much afraid to go to them. [This agrees with old Frobisher a/c] [[tiny initials "FH" below the terminal bracket]] After that ^[[next year]] many ships came here - one ship broke in the ice - not smashed on the land - Wind blow hard. The Innuits never go bye the pile of stone that Kod-lu-nars mad (& wh. gives them so many Took-too) without landing & going up to Kiss it. [[remaining 1/3 of page is blank]] [[end page]] [[start page]] [[top half of page is blank]] The old lady becoming exhausted, I ceased my talk with her & took my leave. Proceeded to the sledge ^[[on the sea ice]] drawing after me another on wh. was my canvass tent. At 3-40 PM started. Arrived at the ship VI-30 making the time bet. place 1st (& ony enc.) in h2-m50 (two hours fifty minutes) Br. the point just mentioned the travelling daily improving the snow disappearing from the ice leaving firm dry basis. In about one week I [[?doubt]] wet sledging will be good for perhaps 2 weeks. I propose now as soon as possible to get down to where Capt B. is & get Sharkey & team of dogs engaged to be in [[?reading]] to start for Bud. Bay as soon as travelling gets good. I cannot depend on any other Innuit as I can on Sharkey. As for being in [[end of page]]
