Morning sultry with showers.  Go to Johnson's after breakfast + leave order for work, then back to house and downtown calling at Verhoff's & Fopham's. then to S.I. work over mail and annual reports.  Home, evening read. rains

Wednesday, July 8
Morning cloudy.  Stove man comes.  Showers.  Go to S.I.  Great crowds. in the building.  Attend to mail.  Work over Ann. Rept. Mus.  Later home, evening read. write review.

Thursday, July 9
Night stormy, morning showery  Go to S.I. see about mss. for printer, work on annual report.  Home evening call at the Pillings

Morning, go to binders and to Copelands, then to S.I. See Brown & Earll write letters, work on Galapagos shells. Go up to [[Surbey?]] & see Becker. Home, work over sundries & read

Wednesday, Apr. 24
Morning fair, go to S.I. work on Sundries. See Scheuchert, look over pamphlets, work on shells Home. Merriams dine with us.

Thursday,, Apr. 25
Fair, warm. Go to plumbers, binders & Copeland's then to S.I. Put away pamphlets, work on mail. Home, Evening go over to Stanley Browns who are out.
