Morning, go to bank and Survey. See Walcott, Gill, Purington &c then to S.I. work over mail & Nutting shells. Snows. Home go to the Pillings to dinner & spend evening

Thursday, Mar. 12th
Morning cold, windy. Go to S.I. work over routine matters. Home, evening go to Geographic Society's reception.

Friday, Mar. 13
Morning cold. Go to S.I. work over routine and Guppys fossils Home, go to hear Borchgrevink lecture and later to Mrs. Bells

Saturday Mar. 14
Morning coll fair. Go to see the Dr. then to S.I. work over routine and clear up Eucalodium. Home, evening have a bad cold & do not go out

ning all day for Anchor Pt. Late in the evening 10 P.M. anchor in Coal Bay behind the end of the spit. 

Saturday, July 27/95
Go ashore but find no one at the store on the spit. Low water at 10.30 A.M. Rains. Start for the upper bay lay along side the barkentine Marion en route and see Capt. Andrews. Continue up the bay and anchor off Eastland Creek, station of the N. Pacific Mining and Transportation Co. Go ashore and interview Mr. M.B. Curtis in charge of explorations for the Co. and walk up to the mine on a very slippery clay trail. Later go aboard the ship and anchor on deeper water for the night. 

Sunday, July 28th
Morning overcast, with fog. Go ashore for the day while the Kodat goes down to interview
