Dear Sirs:

I have entered a letter in your Prize Contest. But, I fear, my conscience is apt to trouble me, unless I tell you more about my flowers and vegetables. About the hardest thing I ever attempted to do, was to try to say, with two hundred words----

"What Burpees Seeds have Done For Me".

I just can't keep quiet about the wonders in my garden and know I would have written you at the end of the season without being offered [[underlined]] such worth while prizes [[/underlined]] to do so.

Each flower, and begetable deserves special mention. I just planted a few kinds of your vegetables but I see their superior quality and next season I will use no other.

Your French Breakfast Radishes were delicious, also your Earliest Scarlet Button and they were ready for use in about twenty-one days. I planted three times from one packet of each and had several bunches to give away.

How can I describe the lettuce I grew from your Wayahead, Iceberge and New York Improved varieties? On just a small plot of ground I raised two hundred or more perfect heads. It is my favorite vegetable and there really was [[underlined]] danger of my turning to a rabbit, [[/underlined]] while it lasted. The wayahead grew true to its name, and as to taste, crispness, and looks it can't be surpassed. I gave dozens of heads away and many came just to see it grwoing and would ask--- "How do you make it head like this?" Oh' I said----[[underlined]]"Burpee's Seeds DO THAT". [[/underlined]]

Last year I was chamred with your matchless Tomato and pronounced it the finest variety I have ever grown. It produces an abundance of good sized, smooth fruits with few seeds. I have it again this season, also your Self Pruning variety. The plants are not matured enough yet, to report on. I am all interest as to your New Self Pruning.

From experience, I have learned the VALUE of BURPEE'S QUALITY SEEDS.

They germinate quickly, thrive and produce wonderfel flowers and vegetables with a reasonable amount of care, the packets are always generously filled and they are [[underlined]]guaranteed.[[/underlined]] I think every seed I bought of you this year, came up. Besides the plants for my own garden, I sold enough to pay for my seeds and still had the joy of giving dozens of flower and tomato plants to my friends. By means of Burpee's Seeds I not only have added my small share to the beauty of my street and town and experienced a closer sweeter conception of the beauties and mysteries of nature but
